New text/version added based on the research of John Hawkins local historian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.147.103.149 (talk) 17:07, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone please explain why the revised page I posted has been removed by Steinsky? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.147.109.222 (talk) 12:43, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

John Hawkins local historian has requested that his work be published here!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.147.109.222 (talk) 12:52, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Do not delete the existing information.
  2. Articles should be written in a formal enecylopaedic style -- see WP:Style.
  3. This is not an article about history. History should be a part of the article, but do not replace the article with a textdump about history.
  4. This is an article about St Ives, not an article about St Ives and St Leonards. By all means, use your text as a source for the relevant facts, but do not replace the article with a textdump of off-topic material.
  5. If John Hawkins requested publication by the Oxford University Press, would you walk in and run off 10,000 copies of the unedited draft, and then complain when somebody stopped the presses?
