[edit]I started out to clean up the typos and add links to this article, but when I checked some facts I found substantial inconsistencies between the original article and information available on various web sites (including the first name of Mr. Squire and how he earned his fortune). Even the web sites had some inconsistencies but I have included only what seems to be the common threads. DS1953 01:03, August 3, 2005 (UTC)
I can confirm from The Encyclopedia of Cleveland History as cited today in article that it was part of Fergus B. Squire's estate, planned by a New York architect that they don't name. I can also confirm the 1922 sale date and the 1925 date acquired by Cleveland Metroparks. It doesn't mention any of the urban legend things, but those are covered in the external links.
It might also help this article to have some photographs of the placards installed at the castle -- they include a floor plan of the structure and confirm some of these details. --Jacqui★ 23:58, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
