Same children but not always

[edit]

Usually if they have children, it’s usually done by the spouse, but this is not always the case

Unlike siblings where they always have both or one parent in common, spouse doesn’t always have the same children because they can get divorced then get re-married, so in that case spouse is defined by related to the person you’ve been legally married to.

You know there are people who have stepparents because there biological parent was divorced or died

Siblings are different where in order for them to be counted as a sibling you must have both or one parent in common, if that person has two different parents then that person is regarded as a non sibling, if they share a grandparent in common but not a parent then there first cousins, if they share a great-grandparent in common but not a parent or a grandparent then there second cousins, siblings are zeroth cousins. 2603:6011:E00:FDE9:D907:396B:6163:1CC8 (talk) 21:29, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
