The result of the move request was: page moved - non controversial. I also created a redirect at Company sports community. ukexpat (talk) 14:53, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Betriebssportgemeinschaft (GDR)Betriebssportgemeinschaft – The page Betriebssportgemeinschaft does not exist, so it appears there is no need for the disambig parenthetical (I never know how to properly name these things :). Also note that Betriebssportgemeinschaft has been deleted before. 87.78.20.78 (talk) 09:16, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some remark

[edit]

This is only about "Sportvereinigungen" in GDR. But "Sportvereinigung" abrv. SpVgg, SV or Sportvg etc. is also an usual name for sport clubs in Germany, as f.e. Elversberg, Feuerbach, Seligenstadt etc. "Betriebssportgemeinschaften" (BSG) are not an invention of GDR, BSG existed before in 3.Reich. Both Nazis and communists used the same idea: popular and leisure sport should be done in BSG and other clubs under controll of their labour unions (DAF rsp. FDGB) and connected with corporations. But in GDR nearly all leisure sports were concentrated in BSG and professional and competitive sports in special "Sportclubs", FC etc. which were often one branch sport clubs since the 60ies. In Nazi Germany former sportclubs existed further more, but the were also under controll and since 1937 no more "independent" but parts of DAFManfredV (talk) 17:48, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
