As a random note, the parish boundaries around the A15 here are quite interesting. They are basically striped, with each parish being an east-west strip of land, stopping at Ermine Street. This pattern extends from about Grayingham/Waddingham, all the way down to Lincoln.

Around Brattleby the parish borders appear to follow the old course of Ermine Street even though the A15 had been diverted - possibly for a very long time as the diversion doesn't seem to be around anything that exists at present. Morwen - Talk 23:25, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The A15 around Brattleby was diverted in 1955 when RAF Scampton extended their runway - I actually remember it happening. Dsergeant (talk) 05:54, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
