"some more derived spiders" What is a "derived spider?" I have not been able to find any other reference to this term. Typo? Cockeyed (talk) 18:00, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There only needs to be one Spiracle page

[edit]

I'm not sure what the process should be, but let's combine this page with Spiracle (vertebrates). While the two morphologies presumable have no shared evolutionary history, they're conceptually similar enough to share an encyclopedia entry. Also both pages are stubs. Also, right now search-engines only highlight one when you search "spiracle", so depending what kind of animal you were talking about you may be left confused. Wot about CO2?

[edit]

The article describes the spiracle and the trachea as organs to deliver O2 to tissues. But wot about getting CO2 back out? Is this also done by these organs? Or is there something else? 2001:8003:E40F:9601:15B2:9721:E46:9AC (talk) 01:31, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
