I am not sure, but can be DNA bound via monovalent iont Na+? It should be Mg+2 that can attach to the surface and same time can bind DNA.

This article only addresses one spin-column approach, but historically there has been a usage of spin-columns to purify DNA - using a size-exclusion spin-column to separate PCR products from unused primers and nucleotides. 69.166.47.99 (talk) 18:22, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
