the bird is an osprey. the anchor is fouled with a navy flntlock & a barbed trident.
the anchor stock is showm incorrect and is perpendicular to the flukes.
I have a problem with one sentence on this page:
"The SEAL badge is therefore unique in the Navy in that it is one of the few badges issued in a single grade for both officers and enlisted personnel."
If it's unique then it is the only badge of this type. If there are others then it is not unique.
I suggest this sentence be modified as either:
The SEAL badge is therefore unique in the Navy in that it is the only badge issued in a single grade for both officers and enlisted personnel.
or
The SEAL badge is therefore one of the few badges in the Navy issued in a single grade for both officers and enlisted personnel.

- "Previously there were more than 20 ratings from which SEAL operators came."
There probably still are, unless they've changed the requirement that you need a rate to apply to BUD/S. Probably not a lot of chaplains or musicians in SEAL Teams. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.176.212 (talk) 23:54, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
