The intelligence work of Special Branch was often overlooked in some circles

Question
[edit]Its says in the UK part that special branch are responsible for the security of non royals. Could anyone please tell me who is responsible for the safety of royals? Thanks --89.56.149.66 13:19, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- The Royalty Protection section of the Protection Command of Specialist Operations (SO14) of the Metropolitan Police Service. -- Arwel (talk) 21:56, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Dident Special Branch also handle Royalty protection at one point as well?Cfagan1987 (talk) 02:00, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
Overview of British intelligence - new article
[edit]The United Kingdom intelligence community page addresses the broad issues in this field, such as the relative scope of MI5 and MI6 (as mentioned above). Starting with the list of key agencies shown at the global List of intelligence agencies. It should provide an appropriate place to deal with some of the ambiguities that the present atomised articles fail to cover well.

Special branch of the Thai police
[edit]It is true that the Special Branch of the Royal Thai Police is responsible, among otheres, for matters concerning citizenship of Thailand. At one point in the past it used to have something to do with passports too, but no longer. The so-called "Special Branch" cited in the reference as having something to do with (Myanmar) passport holders, is not the unit under the Thai police at all, but an authority under the Myanmar Ministry of Home Affairs. The quoted article was clear that the said "Special Branch" from Myanmar and was dealing with its own people, albeit through its office in Ranong Province, Thailand. Therefore I have deleted all references to this matter including the source, as they are irrelevant to the Thai special Branch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.253.11.18 (talk) 07:48, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
Question
[edit]Doesn't the last quote in the UK section need some explaination?192.154.63.77 (talk) 22:33, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
I agree. Besides, it does not sound completely unbiased: one may be equally interested in the behaviour of radicals towards the police as well as vice versa. Mb 3r7864 (talk) 02:55, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
