CSIC vs Spanish National Research Council

[edit]

Not sure that moving the article from CSIC to its current title is a good idea. Scientific literature in English refers to CSIC and anyone wishing to check it out would therefore look it up on Wikipedia under those initials. Obviously the translation into English of the full name should figure in the lead but the article should appear under the name most people would associate with it. 'Spanish National Research Council' correctly translates into English the original name 'Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas' in Spanish. It is not a word-by-word translation, but the official provided by the institution itself. The correct acronym is 'CSIC', following the Spanish name of the institution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.111.200.81 (talk) 14:58, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
