A recent edit to the Southwest Louisiana page appears as political boosterism. The "United States Senator David Vitter" link to the "official site of Republican Party" (per User:Ndgp) was (1) added as a "Reference" more than a month after the article was created; (2) no new content was added when the alleged reference was added, and (3) it lacks any direct citation. Unless this link can be proved to be a legitimate reference and no neutral official governmental source can be attributed otherwise, it should be treated as an unnecessary external link and be removed. Apologies for not moving to talk page sooner.

Also, the UL Lafayette reference to Acadiana unfortunately has inaccurate information. Aaron charles (talk) 02:53, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UL Lafayette link is legitimate and neutral bibliography, not reference. David Vitter link confirms the UL Lafayette information not including either POV or political boosterism. Ndgp (talk) 03:30, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The neutrality of UL Lafayette is not in question. It was listed previously as a reference, as was David Vitter, which has since been relocated to external links by Ndgp since this POV question. Aaron charles (talk) 03:49, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
