[edit]Does anyone have more information/sources on the nose gear collapse? Specifically, did it happen BEFORE the plane overran the runway or after? The current article text reads as if the collapse happened on the runway itself, but I'm suspicious of that. I have no sources though. 12.208.12.201 03:02, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- BBC reports "as it tried to land", which suggests that it was at or shortly after touchdown, and not later. Guinness 13:52, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
New NTSB press release

Return to Airport
[edit]How did the plane get back to the airport after the crash, as seeing it suffered little damage? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.16.151.77 (talk) 21:12, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
fence?
[edit]How did the plane end up there? I don't see a fence anywhere...form the photo is looks like it was gently placed in the middle of the intersection...how did it get there without wing damage??? Also, since the wingspan is wider than the streets how on earth did they "tow the plane back to the airport for further inspection"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.113.174.74 (talk) 04:55, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]This article has the picture for Southwest Airlines Flight 1455 I'm going to delete it if you don't mind. 64.180.31.59 (talk) 21:44, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Incorrect approach chart
[edit]The approach chart for the ILS 31C was not the one used during the accident. Southwest uses the ILS Z 31C which is a special procedure, the chart can be found here https://www.ntsb.gov/events/2006/ChicagoIL%20SW/Exhibits/347777.pdf

2013 Luton Airport Facebook Controversy
[edit]On 14th March 2013, a new member of staff posted the picture of the crash on Luton Airport's official Facebook page. The picture sparked complaints, with the caption of, "Because we are such a super airport...this is what we prevent you from when it snows...Weeeee :)" I'm not sure this is 100% relevant, so I shall leave it here along with a BBC source that someone may add in should they please. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-21782339 Predspread (talk) 17:23, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
