I have added information regarding Southern Cross' planned emergency repairs to the cable route from Oregon to the relevant section. From experience, I can say that the timeframe given by iiNet is not necessarily accurate and is most definitely subject to change. It's also possible that given the extent of the damage, Southern Cross may need more than a few hours to repair it, but some information is better than none at all. I do hope you're kidding. Repair from the Oregon landing station takes days if not weeks, the few hours to repair it would mean that the route for customers on protected lines have capacity pushed all the way over to the LA landing station (or carried upto San Jose via LA.). Second, just because iiNet is quoting one thing, does not make it absolute. Please in the future get your information from Alcatel, or SCCN directly; or do not alter the article to contain false information. There is alot more to this than any carrier gives out (Which is why repair times differ from AAPT, Optus, TNZ, Telstra, VZ Biz (AS703), Primus, Agile/Internode and iiNet.) because they will typically re-route things on the network rather than allow the cable to be smart and do it alone (which adds ~70ms to your route roundtrip.).
