Anti-Catholic incident
[edit]I removed a reference to an alleged anti-Catholic incident at the church's retreat center, as I could find no verification. Realkyhick 01:46, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
I agree with this removal. Inappropriate to cite some unconfirmed event as part of the wiki entry.DeltaD10:05, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I added reference. JeffG 19:51, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Cleaning up
[edit]Some people who have edited this article have used it as a chance to proselytize by dumping a bunch of scripture into this article; others who are not fond of the church have used it for their own agenda to make the church look bad and emphsize a controversy that happend two years ago. Let's remember what Wikipedia is about: objective information. Both sides need to use restraint. I think it is fair to include the mission statement and some of the beliefs expected of members of the church. It is also fair to mention any controversies that have been documented without deleting everything else.Mazeface 13:37, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
I added a reference to the claim that this evangelical monstrosity is the "6th largest church" in the USA. I hope to be able to reinvigorate someone's faith and/or help feed the NeoCon army with more propaganda. At least, if this Internet Fudge, it's in the name of the Jesus. And cited by even more fudge Anon 11:37, 16 September 2009
Beliefs
[edit]I'm not sure that the "Beliefs" section, even though a factual representation, is notable in an encyclopedic sense. Is there anything that makes this list of beliefs different from other similar churches? Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 16:42, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps it should be formatted as a prose paragraph rather than a list, and given some analysis if possible... but until someone writes that I guess the current content is better than nothing. Articles on churches/religions should certainly cover what the groups believe. --W.marsh 17:02, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I just wondered if their beliefs are really a set of beliefs common to Christian megachurches. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 17:11, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- That's where some analysis would come in... surely someone's compared Southeast CC to other megachurches in a published article somewhere. Alas I'm lazy... I'll give researching this a try at some point though. --W.marsh 17:22, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Copypaste
[edit]There has clearly been a large amount of material taken directly from their website. We will need to figure out what can stay. --Jprg1966 (talk) 18:01, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
