Supporting Reference
[edit]"Or possibly, it was also a vote against the name itself, which was not chosen by consensus." I'm not sure how this sentence can be justified. I know why I voted against incorporation, and this isn't why. Having been a resident of the community for most of my life, I'm pretty sure no one cared about the name and more about the new government control that would result. Thus, I think this sentence could use a reference to justify its inclusion in the article. -- James Sumners (talk) 13:40, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
Map of South Fulton
[edit]At present, the page has no map of the city borders, only an approximate location. There is a map available from the county website here, which displays the City Council districts as well. As far as I can tell, this map does not have restrictions on use, but I'm not entirely sure. There's definitely no copyright notice on the map itself. My goal is to upload it via Commons, if allowable, for use on this page, but I don't know how to classify it. I accessed the map from this page, which does include a copyright notice. Does anyone know how to figure this out? (One option might be to contact the county or city government, which I can certainly do, but if that's unnecessary I don't want to do it!
Another option would, of course, be to take the Fulton map already used for other cities, such as Sandy Springs, for which it looks like this:
I will probably do this anyway (and may work on updating the map for other cities so that South Fulton isn't whited out) but it would be great to have the City Council district map too, so I still want to figure that out. Thanks for any help!! Elium2 (talk) 17:52, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- It actually turns out that modifying the SVG is less simple than I'd expected, since SF doesn't constitute the entire white area. Oops. Elium2 (talk) 17:57, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
population
[edit]There is no population given in the article. However, List of municipalities in Georgia (U.S. state) has its populatio as zero in 2000 and 2010. If that is true, 80 percent result in referendum equals zero, though I don't know how percents are calculated from zero. 85.76.107.124 (talk) 02:07, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- South Fulton didn't exist as a municipality in 2000 and 2010. The 80% is a percentage of the number people who voted in the referendum, which they knew by counting the number of ballots of the people who voted. - BilCat (talk) 03:37, 10 April 2018 (UTC)

South fulton map
[edit]this is a complaint i have of all Fulton county city maps since 2021 but they have yet to be updated in the two years since to include the fact South Fulton has annexed the Fulton industrial district and the only remaining unincorporated area is the Fulton county airport Dusamatriarch (talk) 12:22, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
Broken (but not dead) link
[edit]I thought I should bring it to someone's attention that the link to the South Fulton municipal website in the infobox (http://www.cityofsouthfultonga.gov) yields the following error message:
Redirects on this server have been disabled.
Domain Owners you should have received notice at the begining [sic] of the year that redirection services would be moving to a new IP 20.114.211.29. If you are seeing this a record may have been over looked please update any record that currently point to 166.62.42.178 to reference the new ip.
If you still continue to have issues please contact support
The website is still operational under that URL, however; it is only when clicking the link in the article that it yields the error message.
Food for thought.
P.S. Interestingly enough, when I clicked the link in this talk page message when previewing it, the error message did not appear.
