The transcription, found under the photoreproduction of the sonnet, takes some unjustified liberties with the text. Using modern spelling is understandable, but changing word forms ("My self" to "myself" in line 7) and adding commas ("corrupting salving" to "corrupting, salving" in line 7) are not. Line 8 trades "their sins…their sins" for "thy sins…thy sins" and this must be an error? In the examples I've given, the meaning of the line is changed, and the possibility of interpreting it correctly is lost. I don't know what the policy is, for making such transcriptions, so I will make no edits to it now, myself. But this one is critically flawed. Catsmoke (talk) 02:13, 6 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
