DVD

[edit]

I have a DVD of the complete SONG OF THE SOUTH,apparently put out by Disney itself. An"extra" is the cartoon COAL BLACK AND THE SEBBEN DWARFS(1943), which was NOT a Disney cartoon but a WarnerBrothers/Bob Clampett.

Also includes a 15 minute radio publicity show, hosted by songwriter Johnny Mercer and includes comments by Walt Disney himself and the child actors in the cast. The songs are re-sung by The Pied Pipers.

That DVD is a bootleg, not produced by Disney. The fact that it includes a non-Disney cartoon as an extra is a good clue that Disney didn't make the DVD. Toughpigs (talk) 15:38, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I picked it up at Academy Records--West 18th Street--Manhattan 198.23.5.11 (talk) 12:30, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
