Indiana/Illinois

The book's Parkman is in Illinois. This is easily misunderstood both because the film's Parkman is in Indiana, but also because the town of Parkman (and its inspiration, Robinson) are near the Indiana border and the characters travel to Indiana for various reasons (Terre Haute and Indianapolis are closer cities to Robinson/Parkman than Chicago).
