Change 'Priesthood' to 'Ministry'

[edit]

Hello everyone! I am new to Wikipedia so please forgive me if this is not the right place to do this. It seems to me that a decent amount of the content in the the 'Priesthood' sections goes beyond the scope of Solanus' priestly duties/ministry. Many things, such as his work as porter and his time in Yonkers, were ministries typically given to non-ordained/lay Capuchin friars. Perhaps, we could consider changing the title of this section form 'Priesthood' to 'Ministry' or 'Ministerial Life' which would include all of these things as well as his priestly actions. Thoughts?

Who is Martha?

[edit]

In the section just before his death there is a seemingly random reference to a Martha saying a rosary with him but there is no previous mentions or reference to who she is. Nyth63 11:47, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Casey had a sister named Martha, who visited him at the end of his life. link--Quisqualis (talk) 19:12, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes

[edit]

This statement listed under quotations by Bl. Solanus Casey has no source and according to biographer Michael Crosby, this is from a poem by his brother Edward:

"God condescends to use our powers if we don't spoil His plans by ours."
