Yerba mora - right?

[edit]

I was looking for info on "Yerba mora", which I ate in pupusas tonight in Latin America. It seems to be Solanum americanum so I've added a redirect at Yerba mora. --Chriswaterguy talk 06:40, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Solanum nodiflorum

[edit]

Solanum nodiflorum is not the same species as Solanum americanum. Refer to http://www.springerlink.com/content/gmm700927409465h/fulltext.pdf "AFLP markers support separation of Solanum nodiflorum from Solanum americanum sensu stricto (Solanaceae)" M. L. K. Manoko, R. G. van den Berg, R. M. C. Feron1, G. M. van der Weerden, and C. Mariani — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.72.3.21 (talk) 23:09, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The text you cite, AFLP markers support separation of Solanum nodiflorum from Solanum americanum sensu stricto (Solanaceae) is from 2007; the GRIN page for Solanum nodiflorum was last updated on November 27, 2010, and so may be more accurate and current.
