[edit]Merge Supersymmetry breaking, Supersymmetry breaking scale and this into one? Rather than have 3 stubs. AHusain (talk) 07:43, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Soft SUSY introduced when?
[edit]There is a paper from 1974 by Zumino that discusses soft SUSY breaking, so the date in this article is clearly wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.207.93.25 (talk • contribs) 04:51, 9 March 2009
- Zumino seems to have considered the cosmological effects of susy breaking (both soft and spontaneous) in general, without an explicit model in mind (unfortunately, all I can get of NPB 89:535 at the moment is the abstract). I believe Georgi and Dimopoulos are cited because they discuss an explicit model with soft susy breaking. I'll try rephrasing the article to emphasize this (and cite the reference). -David Schaich Talk/Cont 17:53, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds fair. As far as I know, it would be correct to say that Georgi and Dimopoulos first constructed a model designed seriously to address phenomenological issues arising from soft supersymmetry breaking in GUTs. Cmelby (talk) 21:59, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
