Hello, I have worked to reform this article, hopefully to the best extents currently possible. However, if people would like to add further depth and nuance to it, here a couple of sources that I found that went unused. https://muslimheritage.com/uploads/OttomanUlema.pdf https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/bulletin-of-the-school-of-oriental-and-african-studies/article/route-to-the-top-in-the-ottoman-ilmiye-hierarchy-of-the-sixteenth-century1/19E053BD3F3813B4DD0BCC1F176B46E1 Please feel free to correct any mistakes I may have made! -KingOfStones42 (talk) 23:11, 22 April 2024 (EST)

Unsuitable Article

[edit]

This article is incomplete, rambling, and cites no useful sources. No one should be reading it in its current state, until it is seriously improved. -Chamboz (talk) 18:49, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! It is plain wrong, even. Best'd be to delete it as of now! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.112.244.66 (talk) 18:00, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Issues with the article

[edit]

Most of the facts in this article are not cited. There is only one source used and although it's likely to be a reliable source because it comes from an academic publishing house, this one source is not sufficient to create an article. The introduction of the article makes it seem like it will discuss social structure of the Ottoman Empire in general, but the article only discusses the integration of minorities. More sections about social structures would need to be added, and the "Education" section should be renamed because the content within that section is not relevant to its title.
