Title of the page
[edit]@VerismoSiciliano, Braganza, and Checco: I don't understand the reason why this page is titled Social Democrats. The official name of the party is Socialdemocrazia-SD, this is the name declared to the Ministry of the Interior ([1]) and this is the name it uses by the party in its posters ([2]). I find no reason in the current title, the page should be moved to "Social Democracy (Italy, 2022)".--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 20:31, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- i moved it to Social Democracy (Italy, 2022) but smb reversed it Braganza (talk) 21:17, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Braganza I saw that you had moved the page to "Social Democrats (Italy, 2022)". Since the name of the party is "Social Democracy", do you agree that I move the page to "Social Democracy (Italy, 2022)"?--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 08:38, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
The fact is that the party's official name is not "Social Democracy", but either "Social Democrats" or "Party of Social Democrats". Of course, we would need to find the party's constitution to be 100% certain of the name, but please note that the party is never referred as "Social Democracy" in its website. By the way, was the party in alliance with Action–IV in the 2022 general election? --Checco (talk) 06:00, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- Well, that's true, the party doesn't have a statute yet (or at least it's not available on the web). Furthermore, the party is mentioned by many names (Social Democrats, Social Democracy, Party of Social Democrats, Party of Social Democracy). Honestly, the page seems to me quite premature (this party has not done anything yet), we could wait for future developments. However, the sources closest to official status (the manifestos, the name declared to the Ministry of the Interior) refer to the party as "Socialdemocrazia-SD". About the alliance: the party had no candidates in the elections, but supported Action-IV and Rosato's candidacy.--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 09:28, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
