[edit]I have a problem with the "translation" of "Société de Notre-Dame de Montréal pour la conversion des Sauvages de la Nouvelle-France" from French into English. The problem being, that the language the above phrase was translated into is only half-way into English.
Specifically: The phase "Société de Notre-Dame de Montréal pour la conversion des Sauvages de la Nouvelle-France" has been translated as "Société de Notre-Dame de Montréal for the conversions of savages of New-France"; This translation is neither English nor French, but rather a collision of both languages that seems to have become tangled together somewhere near the middle of the phrase. Please, can someone untangle this mess by telling us what "Société de Notre-Dame de Montréal" translates as in English? Thank you.
