It was released by the group as an announcement, therefore it is not copyright infringement and the only people who claim it is theirs is the group itself.[reply]

Liwa al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar or Liwa al-Muqatileen al-Ansar?

Bedandbreakfast118, I'm pretty sure that Liwa al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar (LWA) (which you added wikilinks for) is not the same group as Liwa al-Muqatileen al-Ansar (LMA). This Ahram Weekly ref indicates that LMA was a new faction in 2020: "HTS arrested Saraj Al-Din Mukhtarov (aka Abu Salah Al-Uzbaki), commander of the terrorist Ansar Al-Din organisation, and Abu Malik Al-Tali, founder of a new faction called Liwa Al-Muqatileen Al-Ansar." [1]

Here's another ref from Jihadica talking about it: "A few months earlier [from June 2020], al-Tali had defected from HTS and established Liwa al-Mouqatilin al-Ansar, which later became part of the So Be Steadfast operations room with al-Tali as its leading military commander."[2]

Ah mb. I saw that Liwa al-Muhajireen wal-Ansar was considered part of the SBSOR during the 6th 2020 Inter rebel conflict in Idlib and though someone was just being sloppy and left them out, and I guess I read the faction in the source wrong due to the wording similarities. I think that makes at least four different factions that have had that similar name; I guess no one is giving style points for originality.
