Partial destruction

[edit]

I became interested in determining when the parts of cemetery was given away for development since 1918-1998 looks like a too big time interval. So that's what I found.

The north west corner that was totally flattened for a fire department in 1985. It can be easily found at Russian internet sites.

The small section near the entrance that was replaced with a petrol station is more difficult. It is the PTK #5[1] station. In 1988 it was located at nab. Smolenki, 29 at the south west border of Smolenskoe Armenian Cemetery. In 2003 this petrol station kept its name #5 thought changing owner and even kept its phone number but moved to nab. Smolenki, 27, that is, to the territory of Smolenskoe Lutheran Cemetery. So the petrol station moved there between 1988 and 2003. Taking info account the info from the article, it was before 1998.

It looks like two sections of the cemetery were destroyed in 1985 and somewhere between 1988 and 1998, correspondingly.
