The key of slow movement

Why are most of the slow movements in the subdominant key (or submediant for minor)? Some composers like to use the dominant key, parallel key, or relative key.

I think the most common key of the slow movement is the relative major/minor, but I've edited the article to include all of those types of related keys. Tal Brenev (talk) 01:47, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
