Examples of songs that are slow jams
[edit]The current listing is unwieldy, at best, and I'm not really sure what criteria (if any) are used for inclusion. "Kiss of Life" and "If I Was Your Girlfriend" are slow jams? Even "Let's Get It On" is too uptempo. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 05:29, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Multiple meanings:
Bluegrass:
A Slow Jam in the bluegrass music world, is playing with a group for less experienced players/singers to learn how to make music with each other. Typically, songs are played at 1/2 speed or at least slower than normal. It is ok to stop and get help, or retry something that didn't work. Bluegrass is music that is played by all levels of musicians, and it takes awhile to learn the ropes.
