Should we AfD

[edit]

Man, @Veverve: just how many of these articles are there? I maybe a project I can undertake this month is finding and tagging groups like this for merges and deletion. ~ Pbritti (talk) 20:38, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Pbritti: You can check Category:Old Catholic denominations, Category:Independent Catholic denominations, and Category:Independent Eastern Orthodox denominations, and their respective subcategories, to find other denominations whose notability may be questionable. I would advise not to bundle numerous organisations together in an AfD, but to open an AfD for each; this will make the AfD much more readable in case the notability of one or more of those organisation is established.
I have already AfDed a dozen of those I think, and most of those AfD led to a deletion. I have left articles which I believed at a glance to have the slightest notability (I do no say they meet GNG), for in those cases I did not have the will to investigate at all and did not feel compelled to do so since there was at least a shred of secondary RS allegedly discussing the subject (the AfDing process takes time and energy). In the case of the Slovak National Catholic Church, I guess saw there was a WP pl article, removed the unsourced claims and called it a day; now that I look at it, the topic clearly does not meet GNG. @Veverve: Apologies for my initial poor grammar. I've noticed your efforts and will try to buttress them as best I can. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:09, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pbritti: I have started an AfD after my failed PROD, here. Veverve (talk) 11:58, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
