Modern fundraising "slave auction"
[edit]Slave auction redirects here; perhaps there should be some mention of the modern fundraising activity, where the winning bidder gets the person as a "servant" for a brief period. See Wiktionary entry. Equinox ◑ 21:09, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- I would expect that holders of such fundraising events go out of their way to avoid using that phrase (but then, Paula Deen once had a plantation-themed dinner, so who knows). BD2412 T 22:04, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
