AFAIK skull is just another name for temple block... any comments? Andrewa (talk) 06:33, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've never heard of temple blocks being called "skulls" and I'm having a devil of a time finding info on this instrument (my students are in the middle of a project to expand on music instrument stubs so I'm doing pre-research to make sure they can find enough info on it). Can someone name one specific music tradition or culture that calls this instrument a "skull"? (this way I can see if there are verifiable references to add to the stub) If not, shouldn't this be deleted? Or used for instruments made from skull bones like the Damaru?
