Origin of statement

[edit]

@Wil540 art: I am looking for the origin of this statement. Would you happen to know anything?

I was thinking of writing Iain Borden, a historian of skateboardology, to ask. I thought I would check in with you first. Thoughts? Blue Rasberry (talk) 21:11, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Good Question

[edit]

I do not know the origin of that statement. Now I want to know. One article online credits the film Public Domain by Powell Peralta. I'm not very confident in that source, so I've asked on Slap (magazine)'s online forum: https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=116784.msg3558893#msg3558893 I've never heard of Iain Borden. He sounds interesting. Hope you're well Lane and thanks for asking. I'm always open to skate history inquiries. --Wil540 art (talk) 15:08, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Wil540 art: It has been a year, time to publish. Thanks for the research support. Bluerasberry (talk) 02:04, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What is going on with the first paragraph?

[edit]

Why is it talking about civilians? This article has nothing to do with the military, so it seems like "civilians" was a mistranslation. The voice also reads as overly subjective (who's to say it's "respectable"?, and why does it randomly start talking about the UK specifically? 173.48.69.126 (talk) 16:08, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
