- Spot-checked six sources, found one that doesn't pan out: "Michael has also incorrectly been called the first elected aboriginal Canadian, but that distinction belongs to Frank Arthur Calder". The source used does not seem to mention Frank Arthur Calder.
- The infobox states he was in office until 1970, but this is not mentioned in the text. It would be interesting to include info on his second campaign / election result, and whether he tried to run for a third term.
- Earwig brings up one website, which has copied from Wikipedia, so copyright okay. No close paraphrasing in sources checked.
- Copyright images okay
- I prefer splitting the lede into two paragraphs, making it easier to read. Disregard if you disagree.
- No problems evident wrt neutrality and stability. FemkeMilene (talk) 15:25, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for the review! I believe I've addressed all of the items. I changed the sentence that wasn't supported to more directly say what it was intended to contribute to the article. Your comment about when he left the legislature makes a lot of sense, and I searched for a while and the best I was able to do is mention and cite in the text when he left the legislature. The sad fact is that there seems to be very little remaining data, at least anywhere online, about these very early territorial elections, so I haven't even been able to verify whether or not Michael ran in that 1970 election, and, if not, why he might have stepped aside. But it at least is well documented that he did leave after one term in 1970. And finally, I did split the intro. Thanks again! - Astrophobe (talk) 18:39, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- The source you gave doesn't state he left after one term. I'm also not entirely sure it's true, as he was first elected in a by-election, and seems to have been on the 5th Northwest Territories Legislative Council and 6th. I also noted that FN11 is dead, and the website doesn't seem to include him anymore. The other source is enough to support the sentence. FemkeMilene (talk) 19:12, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
