Secular?
[edit]I'm not trying to be pedantic, but the huge cross he's carrying, makes it a little less secular than the claim about it being so. Dr. Dan 18:34, 6 June 2006 (UTC) p.s. Don't lose sleep over my observation! Always loved the monument, and enjoyed looking at it, on my way into the Stare Miasto.
- Well, king Zygmunt was a very catholic ruler
(he declared Virgin Mary as queen of Poland)and he is presented on the statue as defender of faith (the cross acts like and addition, like sword and crown) but he is not a saint and not even a priest... thus "secular". If you want to put it in other words, just make an edit. A.J. 10:57, 7 June 2006 (UTC)- My mistake, it was his son John II Casimir of Poland. 62.233.129.226 13:44, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
