[edit]chronology error; 1848 vs.1890s
[edit]There appears to be an error in the dating of the quotation as 1848. Professor Ely was not born until 1854! (from his biography link) Also his photograph is clearly not of an adult professor in 1848. Much other material indicates that the trial must have been in the 1890s, not the '40s.

- I checked the source and you're right about the typo—the report was in 1894. Fixed czar ♔ 15:03, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
