I learned more about Sidney Farber from Siddhartha Mukherjee's "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer". But I haven't found any source (Wikipedia or other) which gives greater detail on how Sidney Farber, the "father of modern chemotherapy", went from a pathologist in the basement of Children's Hospital to treating live children to becoming the leader of the huge enterprise which today is the "Dana–Farber Cancer Institute". What made this man tick? Where are the biographies (printed or film) of Sidney Farber? I guess this isn't a critique of only this Wikipedia article, but it is a critique of ALSO this Wikipedia article (because ALSO Wikipedia does not give this information). I'm planning on revising and adding to this article for my WikiEducation project. I came across the same problem - I couldn't find any biographies on Farber. The closest thing to biographies I could find were obituaries and tributes published after his death. So far I've compiled these sources (the first two are already listed under References):

  1. Mukherjee, Siddhartha (2010). The Emperor of all Maladies. New York, NY: Simon and Schuster. ISBN 978-1-4391-0795-9.</ref>
  2. Miller, Denis R. (12 May 2006). "A tribute to Sidney Farber-- the father of modern chemotherapy". British Journal of Haemotology. 134 (1): 20–26. doi:10.1111/j.1365-2141.2006.06119.x. PMID 16803563. {{cite journal}}: |access-date= requires |url= (help)</ref>
  3. Foley, George E. (March 1974). "Sidney Farber, M.D.". Cancer Research. 34: 658–661. {{cite journal}}: |access-date= requires |url= (help)</ref>
  4. "Sidney Farber, MD". Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Retrieved 24 February 2018.</ref>

I think this article is very well done and I especially like the way that many words are linked to their Wikipedia pages in case anyone needs clarification. I think there is a large amount of information about Farber which is general and also specific which is appropriate for a Wikipedia biography. The language is biased and there are a large amount of references. There is one point where "Children's Hospital" is mentioned and I think it might be helpful to mention where the Children's Hospital is and some information about it.Celsisa (talk) 03:53, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
