Houses for the rich

@Lord Cornwallis: thank you for writing the article. Can I query "The western end features houses for the rich"? What does the source say? I found "Seven Dials , north of Covent Garden , was laid out in the 1690s by Thomas Neale , Master of the Mint" ... "But it never attracted wealthy residents , and the houses soon fell into multi - occupation ." on page 114 of The Making of Our Urban Landscape by Geoffrey Tyack, 2022 via google books.
