I'm almost certain this needs to be marked as a fictional dessert.

  • I have come to this article by way of the user category "Wikipedians who like strawberry shortcake." I am seeking to work with other editors who favor this dessert, and are interested in expanding the content and improving the accuracy of this article in a process of collaboration.Michael J Swassing 18:05, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also, I agree with this. I'm removing it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.123.189.90 (talk) 11:53, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shortcake and strawberry shortcake are not fictional. In the UK scones are very different. This article may be rambling and not exactingly written, but does not deserve deletion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.189.158.120 (talk) 10:30, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Split article?

[edit]

This article seems to refer to two completely different topics. The main topic here is an American style of cake but the British style of biscuit is also mentioned but then not elaborated on. I'm thinking that the British biscuit should be split off into its own stub article, probably called "Shortcake (biscuit)" with disambiguation links at the top of both articles to direct people to the other one if they find the wrong one by mistake. --DanielRigal (talk) 01:40, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
