Sohaib and Sania Mirza

Later in the news, it is sadi that Sania will be Shoaib's second wife. He might face a lawsuit before getting married to Sania. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.108.180.60 (talk) 23:23, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
All settled. His first wife Ayesha Siddiqui apparently used a trick from the movie "Truth About Cats and Dogs". She met Shoaib as Maha Siddiqui, elder sister of Ayesha Siddiqui, whereas a young and beautiful friend of hers met him as Ayesha Siddiqui. After marriage Shoaib found that the young and beautiful girl that he fell in love is actually now married with two kids, and the not so young and not so beautiful woman whom he thought was her elder sister, was the real Ayesha Siddiqui, and he was legally married to her. As per the newspaper Jang, Shoaib has now paid 150,000,000 rupees (around $4,000,000) to get rid of Ayesha Siddiqui.
The only difference between the movie and Ayesha's story is that Ayesha got lots and lots of money instead of her lover. Hassanfarooqi (talk) 20:00, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
"Controversy" section
[edit]I have just undone this edit, removing the following from the article:
Malik came under criticism in India for his statement after losing the final of the 2007 ICC World Twenty20.[1] After the match he stated, "I want to thank you back home [in] Pakistan and where the Muslim lives all over the world." The mother of India's man of the match, Irfan Pathan, a Muslim, said: "Shoaib must have said that for his own countrymen, how can he speak for all the Muslims of the world? The way Irfan and [half-brother] Yusuf played for India, that's all that matters to us. They have made us proud of the way India won the Cup."[2] He was also criticised by some Pakistani fans for his comments, while others stated that the Indian media was creating a controversy by misinterpreting his statement.[3][4]
Edit summaries are not the best place to explain edits, so I'll explain the removal here. There's far too much information there on a non-incident; if it's to be included at all it needs to be pruned but given the triviality of the information I'm sceptical as to the worth of its inclusion at all. Creating a "controversy" section doesn't seem a good way to write a biography. Good articles don't split the good from the bad, it's all dealt with together. So if it were to be included, it should be properly integrated into the article. Nev1 (talk) 16:37, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Pending changes
[edit]This article is one of a small number (about 100) selected for the first week of the trial of the Wikipedia:Pending Changes system on the English language Wikipedia. All the articles listed at Wikipedia:Pending changes/Queue are being considered for level 1 pending changes protection.
The following request appears on that page:
Many of the articles were selected semi-automatically from a list of indefinitely semi-protected articles. Please confirm that the protection level appears to be still warranted, and consider unprotecting instead, before applying pending changes protection to the article. |
However with only a few hours to go, comments have only been made on two of the pages.
Please update the Queue page as appropriate.
Note that I am not involved in this project any more than any other editor, just posting these notes since it is quite a big change, potentially.

Accusations of Shoaib Malik partying during world cup
[edit]Please mention how Shoaib Malik thinks its perfectly acceptable to be smoking sheesha and eating fast food DURING a world cup at 2:00am in the morning. It's the world cup, which means you need to be eating a specialised diet catered to your athletic needs, to sustain your stamina/your performance during matches. Pre game meals, after game meals and overall fitness routine shouldn’t consist of sheesha smoking and fast food at 2:00am. Instead of apologising for this disgusting behaviour, he ended up defending his lack of professionalism and claimed the media was "out to get him". His wife Sania Mirza then decided to slut shame Veena Malik. --2607:FEA8:A2A0:55:F9BD:1C61:74AD:FDEF (talk) 13:35, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
Teams in the infobox
[edit]The domestic team information got lost at some point over the last two months I think. I've put it back and ordered it more correctly, but there are some issues here. Shoaib, as is true of a number of T20 players, has played for more teams than we have infobox slots. I've omitted some - generally ones in less prominent leagues and ones he only played for for a season. That's not scientific and I may have made mistakes. Feel free to jump up and down and stamp your foot if I left out your favourite team - I was considering leaving out all the T20 only teams if that helps. If you have a better idea then I'm all ears. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:12, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
- I've now removed all the teams he's played for in only one season. There just isn't room otherwise. It would probably be helpful to remove all the T20 only sides, but I'd prefer someone else to agree to that as it's quite an extreme step. Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:37, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
