[edit]Would anyone have access to a public domain image of Rav Schwab? If this is impossible, shall we contact the Jewish Observer if they would licence an image from their stock? JFW | T@lk 00:10, 22 August 2005 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't see your comment until you left a message on my talkpage. I've left some advice there. JFW | T@lk 20:03, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

I have been looking for other sources, and found the EMK source, which is a hagiographic obituary but contains a good amount of factual information. There are certainly a few points that need raising:
- He opposed the eruv in Manhattan (full text in Maayan)
- He supported the retention of the Frankfurt version of the prayers (repeatedly in Rav Schwab on Prayer)
- He paid for much of the publication costs of Klugman's Shemesh Marpei (implicitly in EMK, explicitly elsewhere but have forgotten)
- He died of a heart attack (EMK)
I will try to integrate the "bibliography" section with the rest of the references. I will also post a message on WT:JEW asking for further references. JFW | T@lk 10:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have also emailed the KAJ webmaster asking if they could release any images of the subject under the GFDL. JFW | T@lk 11:14, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Schwaben
[edit]We may need to cover this from the bio in "Prayer":
- Much later, the Rav would discover that the renowned Rav Yehudah HaChassid predicted in his will, written some 800 years earlier, that "a man in the Land of Schwaben (the area where lchenhausen is located) would not be successful in educating young boys as yeshivah students." (See Sefer Chassidim, Margaliyos ed., last item of the Tsava'a, §56.)
Curious how encyclopedic it might be. JFW | T@lk 09:38, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Ezra/Nehemia
[edit]The publication of his works continues. His son has informed that work is ongoing on the books of Ezra and Nehemia. JFW | T@lk 11:19, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
