Orphaned references in Shields Green
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Shields Green's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Barry":
- From John Brown's raiders: Barry, Joseph (1869). The annals of Harper's Ferry, from the establishment of the national armory in 1794 to the present time, 1869. Hagerstown, Maryland. p. 35.
{{cite book}}
: CS1 maint: location missing publisher (link) - From Dangerfield Newby: Barry, Joseph (1903). The Strange Story of Harpers Ferry. Martinsburg, West Virginia.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:46, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Capitalization of Black and White
[edit]@Deisenbe: When I capitalized Black and White, I was convinced that MOS:PEOPLANG (I should have linked it in my edit summary, sorry) excluded "Black and white". But a few days ago, that part of MOS was changed. Therefore I won't object if you decide to change to a consistent "Black / white" capitalization. But the version you reverted to was not consistent even with regard to "Black" / "black". I had taken some pains to distinguish between use as a colour ("black coat"), ethnic use in the voice of WP, and use inside quotes, so I was not really happy with your revert to an inconsistent version. Additionally, I think this article uses "b/Black" as an ethnic identifier in much the same manner as "w/White". So the two terms should be treated alike, regardless of whether we think that in the social reality of the 21st century "w/White" is an ethnic term or not. --Rsk6400 (talk) 06:24, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
