Acceptable use of quotation marks

I changed the following from:

"Also, in the Shimane Prefecture, there is also a legend about a strange occurrence that has a similar name, the 'shidaizaka' (しだい坂)."

to:

"Also, in the Shimane Prefecture, there is also a legend about a strange occurrence that has a similar name, the 'shidaizaka' ('しだい坂')."

Could anyone please tell me if it's acceptable to use quotation marks within parentheses like that?--Thylacine24 (talk) 12:26, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
