[edit]The base of this article seems to have been taken from the now defunct Shetlopedia, and with that site being a smaller, more self-contained and less rigorously referenced site, the tone and perspective of the article doesn't match Wikipedia's guidelines. This article could do with a bit of an overhaul on the prose sections to bring it up to scratch. I will be making some minor alterations in line with the somewhat recent name change of the Shetland dialect page, however my knowledge of dialect literature is pretty poor to be honest, so someone with better knowledge on this front may want to take a look at this. – Griceylipper 🐗 (talk) 16:24, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
Update: I have taken a stab at improving some of it, though it will need more work in terms of fixing some parts with essay-like tone, and many unsourced claims. – Griceylipper 🐗 (talk) 18:26, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
