I think some clarification of this special use of the word might be useful, but I have not worked out what would be best! SovalValtos (talk) 23:03, 25 February 2016 (UTC)SovalValtos (talk) 06:02, 26 February 2016 (UTC) Hello, I do not know how to edit my mum's entry in Wikipedia, but I notice you have missed her book: Country Courtship 1975 published by The Roundwood Press. I also have photos if there is some way of uploading one? Thanks, Tim Stewart. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.139.91.66 (talk) 07:41, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Two points here.

You have typed [[The_Children's_Society| The Children's Society]]. When the wording you want is the same as the name of the article you are linking to, there's no need for the "pipe", you can just type [[The Children's Society]], with the same effect.

The second is just my personal opinion, many would disagree. Instead of "Waifs and Strays Society (now called The Children's Society)", I would have written "Waifs and Strays Society". That way, anyone who doesn't know what "Waifs and Strays" is and wants to find out can just click on the link, there's no need to explain it. Maybe that's just my database training - don't keep the same data in two places. Maproom (talk) 23:37, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed with Maproom, keep things simple, the info is in the wikilink if needed. SovalValtos (talk) 23:52, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
