Is it just me, or is the article about shear rate and the article about strain rate explaining the same thing? If so, they should be combined. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.149.13.237 (talk) 11:23, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
It's not just you. This article describes a rate of deformation, which is strain. It is categorically wrong to call it shear rate. It would be like changing the title of the "Acceleration" page to read "Force." This page should simply be nuked.Deke77 (talk) 22:57, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
The formula for pipe flow only applies to laminar flow
