Images

[edit]

Unfortunately there are no pictures in this article anymore.

There is an image in the examples section. Wizard191 (talk) 21:02, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

With regards that image, i think it might be incorrect : should the figure to the right of the bending moment diagram be -3.2 rather than -3.3? 131.111.185.34 (talk) 19:24, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Relationships between load, shear, and moment diagrams

[edit]

The variables are not defined in the equations in this section. Makes it hard to understand the equations. Thanks David Hollman (Talk) 10:11, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Concrete design convention

[edit]

The "Concrete design convention" section, as written, is confusing and does not contribute to the article. Unfortunately I don't know myself whether there is a significant difference in convention, so I'm leaving it up for now. 169.229.85.45 (talk) 23:20, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changed it to conform to general consensus on engineering forum of how the convention is used. XFEM Skier (talk) 11:05, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Units

[edit]

Would it be an idea to use SI-units? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.89.179.22 (talk) 07:35, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely not! The purpose of using US customary units ("Davy Crockett Units") is to exclude 99% of the article's prospective readership. We don't want everybody understanding this topic, do we? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.153.23.204 (talk) 10:46, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Title

[edit]

The title shear force and bending moment diagram is the apt one rather than "shear and moment diagram".isn't it friends?Aadhipkesavan (talk) 05:02, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely terrible way to draw shear and moment diagrams

[edit]

Writing out the equations is an absolutely terrible way to draw these and should never be used in practice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheSuperCE (talkcontribs) 01:53, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
