The Occultation happened in 2nd century AH, and he was born the 4th century AH. How did this story about his father asking the Imam happen during the Minor Occultation? --Enzuru 01:55, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- The Minor Occultation began c. 261 AH and lasted until 329 AH. Saduq was born in 301 AH. Hope that clears things up. TheSophy (talk) 16:27, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing wordings

Shaykh Saduq → Ibn Babawayh
Ebn-e Babooyeh → Ibn Babawayh Cemetery

– "Shaykh Saduq" and "Shaikh Sadiq", "as-Saduq" etc do have some claim to be a suitable title by WP:AT. However the title is still WP:HONORIFIC and the Britannica title Ibn Bābawayh has a better claim to WP:COMMONNAME; it is 3x more common in Google Books, it is relatively more stable in number of spelling variations. FWIW, not relevant for en.wp, but it also happens to be more consistent with the Arabic ar:علي بن بابويه القمي wp but the current title is consistent with Iranian wikipedia fa:شیخ صدوق. But the fa.wp cemetery article follows the name "Ibn Babawayh Cemetery" Tehran not the honorific title. Don't particularly feel strongly about this nomination, but the move would make the two articles easier for general readers to find. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:40, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
