It is said it has some kind of relation with the k-15 sagarika missile. Can someone add any details of it in here?

NO. Ria Novosti has said no [1], and its always (in the defence scene) that the foreign press (esp Russian) has been more accurate compared to ToI and other local press which most often carry news from unknown analysts. From my knowledge too I know that this project is NOT related to the Sagarika office. Also please note that Sagarika is NOT the name of the SLBM India's developing. The actual project name is K-15. Sagarika is only the name of the Project office / team. Hence the Sagarika article shd actually be renamed to 'Sagarika K-15' (for now until the missile is deployed and formally named) . Regarding Shaurya, please redirect the page Shourya to this page also; as it can be spelt either way; and pls, someone who knows Sanskrit, please include the text. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.100.29.160 (talk) 19:12, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another note, can some account holder please insert images of Pinaka MBRL and Prithvi missile in the respective pages? (there is a prithvi picture in the imgdp page and dhanush pic in India and weapons of mass destruction page but it says there are some copyright problems; how can those be sorted[?]). it would also be good if Trishul missile can be moved into a new article page; although it was only an experimental project (like the X series jets US produces). And does Shaurya come under IMGDP? no! why is it included, with Nirbhay in the IMGDP page? IMGDP is only 5 missiles; akash, trishul, nag, agni & prithvi. others are not! Theres lot of misinfo here! Thanks.

In a recent report done by Jane's on the new submarine design (http://www.janes.com/news/defence/jni/jni090730_1_n.shtml), they refer to the missile as the Sagarika, which at least denotes a name even if the project itself has a number of K-15. I am very hesitant to call them uninformed. Martin Blank (talk) 15:55, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I recall "The range versus payload diagram" I.e. http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Range_Vs_Payload_for_Shaurya_Missile.jpeg is not in public domain. I researched and created the diagram and published that in Indian Defense Review magazine; I have also hosted the article on India Research Foundation. I will be happy to release it to public domain provided some one asks for it. In it current form its use here on Wiki is improper :( .

Close paraphrasing

[edit]

A large part of the article is closely paraphrased from two news articles — one published in The Times of India and the other in Frontline. —Gazoth (talk) 07:41, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
