The credit cards only give you 15% off the first purchase when you sign up. You don't get the 15% discount twice as indicated by the article. --24.15.235.157 00:45, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Who wrote this? A Sharper Image employee? 67.187.48.82 19:46, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Whoever wrote it, they wrote SHITE!
I am not sure who wrote the original article, but I revamped it - see below. Xrarey 15:26, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
This article on air ionisers has a completely different view on Sharper Image's Ionic Breeze...
Which one is biased, and how can they both be made neutral?[1]

No mention what so ever of why the sharper image really exists- So tired husbands can mooch a free 20 minutes in the massage chairs 206.11.112.251 21:45, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
I completely agree. This article is completely non-NPOV and is basically a brochure for Sharper Image. Someone needs to tone this article way down, or completely re-write it. - Markarian
Ionic Breeze
This article needs to be completely rewritten. The article barely mentions the sort of things sold at the stores before launching into a 400-word tirade about the Ionic Breeze. I'm not even sure the Ionic Breeze is deserving of its own article, but it certainly doesn't need to be all over this one. Rodeosmurf 00:43, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- I revamped the article. I encourage everyone to edit it as they see fit - and give me some feedback.
- The ranting about the Ionic Breeze has been removed, and there probably should be a specific page for that product. I am an employee of the company - but I tried to make this as neutral as possible. If you can find anything else I can do then either edit it yourself or let me know. Xrarey 15:10, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- Nice work! I'm going to remove the cleanup thing. Rodeosmurf 01:04, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Please define the abbreviations
Please define "PWP" and "RSG". Tell what they stand for, not just more of less what they mean. Not everyone knows the jargon.
Article Focus
I'm not from the US, so I have no idea what The Sharper Image is. After reading the first couple of sections, I still have no idea, beyond it being a "speciality retailer". Anyone want to shift the focus from corporate structure to something that would inform the average person following a The Sharper Image link? --Aioth 11:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Five months later and the same complaint. What do they actually sell? From there website it appears like they sell electronics and gadgets. 202.36.179.66 02:55, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree it needs focus and information on reputation. Does any other American remember the Sharper Image of the early 1980s, before the "Ionic Breeze," when its catalogs were pored over by twelve-year-old boys in love with its "exclusive" and "ritzy" high-tech gadgets? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Editing (talk • contribs) 20:29, August 26, 2007 (UTC)
- They peddled useless overpriced shit to absorb some of the discretionary income of the bored suburban petit bourgeois. 'High-end electronics and gifts' might be more appropriate for the article though, so this is the language that I have just added. Sure it's more than a bit vague, but their products were apparently so unmemorable that none of us can actually remember what they were. I hope that this is at least somewhat satisfactory.24.47.151.201 (talk) 05:33, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Employee information and citations
It seems like a considerable amount of the information on this page comes from former/current employees. While this is all nice and well, it's uncited, and most of it is probably inappropriate. Unless you can cite a source and logically add it into the article, it will probably be removed. — HelloAnnyong [ t · c ] 16:06, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
About your link to pink sheets
According to Mywot [My Web Of Trust], that site is borderline unsafe to use. Please use a more trust worthy site. There are myriads of stock quote sites to choose from. I am lead to believe that the link was added by the web host himself, in order to promote his questionable web site. Please look into it, TIA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.36.163.57 (talk) 09:41, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
- Um, there's a Wikipedia template for it and there are a number of articles that use the link. I've changed it to OTCBB; is that better? — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 15:03, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Floor wax or dessert topping?
At a casual glance, this article looks like it was about Sharper Image the retail chain, but at some point after they went belly-up, someone changed the lead sentence to indicate its current(?) status as a licensing entity. The problem is that the remaining sentences in the lede are about the former rather than the latter, implying that they no longer exist at all. The lede needs to be cleaned up to give more of a brief indication of what the company is now, and where it came from, possibly pushing some of the detail of its former operation down lower in the body of the article.--NapoliRoma (talk) 09:43, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- The former company no longer exists. The brand name and some other assets were bought in the bankruptcy sale and all the retail stores were closed. While the lead already put this forth, I've cleaned up the wording. Gwen Gale (talk) 15:42, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks, appreciate the help on this. I figured that's how this went, but I wasn't sure. I did a little more editing to maybe make it even clearer. Regards, NapoliRoma (talk) 00:47, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
