Hope all is well. The change I’m suggesting is Shakira’s nationality. She is Colombian and Lebanese. Her father was a Lebanese man. Her last name is Mebarak, a Lebanese last name. Shakira is proud of her Lebanese roots as we saw when she performed at Super Bowl. In 2003, Shakira said she was proud of her Lebanese roots during interview with American Press. That’s all . Thank you [1]

 Not done: We already mention her Lebanese ancestry in the Early Life section. Per MOS:NATIONALITY we generally do not include ethnicity in the first sentence if it differs from the nation they were notable in. Cannolis (talk) 07:27, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest that a direct link to Shakira (album) be put back into the hatnote - it was removed when the hatnote looked like this, which was indeed excessive. Such a link is common practice for musicians with self-titled albums.
